Angels

I started painting angels at a time of stress in my life. I had not planned on painting angels, but somehow they started to appear in my life and I decided to put something of what I felt into painting. But I did not want them to be soft, gentle images, but angels of power and authority. I wanted them to create a sense of awe. The light in these paintings is important, to create the sense of them being drawn out of the light.
